Decker Shado ranks every Predator film

Predators are a scary bunch. They are fast, strong, have thermalvision, and can kill in one blow. Which Predator movie is your favorite? Here's our ranking.

Predator (1987).
The best Predator episode is still the original. It set up the world of Predators perfectly and introduced us to one of cinema's most iconic monsters. The action is intense, there is a great story and Arnold Schwarzenegger's performance as Dutch (the leader of a group of soldiers who are hunting Predators) is outstanding. You should see this classic immediately if you haven’t.

Predator 2 (1990)
Predator 2 took the movie's original story and stepped it up. The action was more intense, the stakes were higher and the story was more interesting. Although not perfect, it was a great sequel that improved upon the original in many ways.

Alien vs Predator (2004)
Alien vs Predator was a funny movie that featured two of cinema’s most famous monsters fighting each other. The action was impressive and the story was surprising for a crossover film. Although it wasn't perfect, it was still enjoyable to watch.

Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007)
The second Aliens vs Predator movie did not have the same quality as the first but was still enjoyable. The action was intense and the story was interesting, even if it didn't make a whole lot of sense. This movie will likely be a (now updated) favorite if you enjoyed the original.

Predators (2010)
Predators was a good entry in the series, but a little forgettable. It featured some entertaining action scenes and a fascinating story, but it wasn't a significant addition to the franchise. It was still entertaining and well worth a look if you are a fan.

The Predator (2018)
The Predator was supposed not to be a return in form for the franchise. The story was complicated and the action scenes did not live up to our expectations. It had its moments, but we're curious about where the franchise will go.

Prey (2022).
This new entry in the franchise is receiving praise for its return to its roots. But, is it the greatest?
